Summary

Description
English:
A lumberjack standing at the base of a huge tree showing a cut in the tree, ca.1900
Photograph of a lumberjack standing beneath a huge cut sliced out of a large tree, ca.1900. He fans his face with his hat in his left hand, while his right hand is fisted against his right hip. He has a handlebar moustache. At his feet lay large chips of wood from the cut. Several small chinks are chopped out of the trunk below the cut to provide footholds for the wood cutter. The forest is in the background.
