DescriptionWalking by the River Tweed - geograph.org.uk - 598167.jpg
English: Walking by the River Tweed This is a Galashiels Paths Route signposted as a Riverside Walk. Tweed Bridge in the background, founded in 1831 by Sir Walter Scott, has a corbelled parapet over the two main elliptical arches. It is closed to vehicular traffic. A glimpse of the modern road bridge that takes the A7 can be seen through the left main arch.
