Summary

Description

The Trostle Farm where Union Major General Daniel Sickles lost his leg to a 12 pound cannon ball. 9th Massachusetts Artillery Battery Monument in foreground. Gettysburg National Military Park, Pennsylvania. Following the engagement the area between the cannon and barn was strewn with dead horses. The gun is a 12-pounder Napoleon.
