DescriptionStatue front - Henry Chisholm statue - Lake View Cemetery.jpg
English: Front view of the statue Henry Chisholm at Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States.
The statue is a memorial to Henry Chisholm (1822-1881), "father of the steel trade" in Cleveland who founded the Cleveland Rolling Mill.
Cincinnati, Ohio, sculptor Charles Henry Niehaus designed and sculpted the piece. The work was erected just inside the Euclid Avenue entrance of Lake View Cemetery on December 6, 1884. The memorial depicts a larger-than-life size statue of Henry Chisholm, his left hand resting on a scale model of a steel rolling mechanism. Bas-relief panels on three sides of the pedestal depict the conversion of iron ore into steel.
