Summary

Description 070222-N-8977L-485 .PANTAO RAGAT, Lanao Del Norte, Republic of the Philippines (Feb. 22, 2007) -- A Philippine Army soldier guards a path so U.S. Armed Forces can pass through the town safely during one of the Medical Civic Action Program (MEDCAP), a part of Exercise Balikatan 2007. Balikatan is a regularly scheduled exercise focusing on interoperability of forces and humanitarian/civic assistance operations. The experience gained in Balikatan 2007 compliments the Philippines security forces existing counter-terrorism programs.
