In the early 1870s, Krupp made two 30.5 cm Ring Kanone (RK) of 22 caliber length. One was exhibited on the 1873 Vienna World Fair. The other was used for testing.

The 30.5 cm L/22 gun that was finally adopted by the German navy was a Mantel Ring Kanone (MRK) of the same caliber and length.

In de vroege jaren 1870, maakte Krupp twee 30,5 cm ring kanonnen (RK) van 22 kaliber lengte. Het ene were tentoongesteld op de Wereldtentoonstelling van Wenen in 1873. Het andere werd gebruikt voor testen.

Het 30,5 cm L/22 gun kanon dat uiteindelijk door de Duitse marine aangenomen werd was een mantelring kanon (MRK) van hetzelfde kaliber en lengte.
