Description
English: Hindu wedding ("Var Mala") with traditional dress, Ahmedabad, India. The cloth tied between the husband and wife (godh bandhan) represents the life-long link between the couple created by the marriage. The man between the couple is a brother of the wife, who traditionally presents his sister to the husband.
Français : Mariage selon le rite hindou ("Var Mala") avec costumes traditionnels, Ahmedabad, Inde. Le tissu attaché entre les jeunes mariés (godh bandhan) représente le lien à vie créé entre les époux par le mariage. L'homme entre les époux est le frère de la mariée, qui traditionnellement présente sa sœur à son futur époux.
