Summary

Description
English: This is a gif of a 10,000fps video of flash cotton (nitrocellulose fibers) combusting. The flame is held below the fibers by a few centimeters and does not come in direct contact with them. The heat of the lighter is enough to break them down and start the combustion process. This was captured using a Photron AX200 high speed video camera, led lights, and macro lenses. This gif is co-authored by Tho Tran and Shakti Shaligram. The video that this gif was made from is also co-authored by Tho Tran and Shakti Shaligram.
