Description
English: The Cooke Memorial Tablet enveiled at Kawaiahaʻo Church by Queen Liliuokalani and High Chiefess Elizabeth Kekaaniau Pratt, March 17, 1912, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Juliette Montague Cooke. The tablet is of marble and is six feet long, four feet wide and six inches thick, and the inscription reads as follows: In Memory of Amos Starr Cooke, 1810—1891, and Juliette Montague Cooke, 1812—1896. Founders of the Royal School and Instructors of the Following Young Chiefs, 1839—1850: Moses Kekuaiwa, Alexander Liholiho, King Kamehameha IV; Lot Kapuaiwa, King Kamehameha V; Victoria Kamamalu, Kuhina Nui; Emma Rooke, Queen Emma; William C. Lunalilo, King Lunalilo; David Kalakaua, King Kalakaua; Lydia Kamakaeha, Queen Liliuokalani; Bernice Pauahi Bishop, Elizabeth Kekaaniau Pratt, Jane Loeau Jasper, Abagail Maheha, Peter Young Kaeo, James Kaliokalani Kapaakea, John Pitt Kinau, and Mary Paaaina.
