The VS Commodore was built from April 1995-August 1997.
The final facelift on the second generation Commodore. Visually very little changed from the VR, ecotec badges, enhanced grille surrounds and wheel trims, the VS was more of a mechanical update with new ECOTEC engine, more power and better economy. With the June 1996 Series II VS, a 165kw Supercharged V6 engine became available.
HSV built performance versions for Holden, available were;
The base model, the Clubsport, based on the Executive, but with 185kw 5.0, manual trans and bodykit.
Next model was the GTS, it got the 215kw stroked 5.7 V8, bigger brakes, different grille and rear spoiler, sports seats, cruise control and trip computer. Only 175 VS GTSs were made.

Limited Edition GTS-R; 85 made, all yellow, 5.7 V8 and large rear wing.
