NSB, also known as the NorthStarBoys, is an Asian-American musical band formed in August 2021. The band consists of Oliver Moy,Kane Ratan, Justin Phan, Regie Macalino, Ryan Nguyen, Darren Liang, and Sebastian Moy. The leaders of the group are the two brothers, Sebastian Moy and Oliver Moy.[1] The group members describe the band as a pop band. They have released 12 Songs till now.[2] With, the latest release being Kissing Booth[1]

How did they meet?[edit]

Darren, Justin, Regie, and Ryan were friends and had a friend group in Dallas from the very beginning, they all met over Social Media Platforms,and then one day their one video blew up on TikTok, and just then Sebastian and Oliver hit them up on TikTok and then they both travelled to Texas to meet Justin, Regie, Ryan, Darren. This wasn't the end just yet, After meeting up with Justin,Regie,Ryan, and Darren, They met Manager Ty and after that they met their new member Kane Ratan(Brother of Manager Ty), and this is how they all met.

Previous BackLash[edit]

They have received tons of backlash in the past for Thirst Trapping Stop Asian Hate movement while being Half-Asians but they did issue a response on their TikTok account and also their YouTube account for doing so, “That is not a thirst trap. And we are not activists, nor do we try to be,” said Oliver Moy in the response video.[3]
