Waya Boy, born Lukwago Tonny on September 4, 2001, in Lubaga Hospital, Kampala, Uganda, began his musical journey in his teenage years.[1] Inspired by African legends such as Fela Kuti and Miriam Makeba, he developed his craft, blending traditional rhythms with modern styles.[2][3]
