Watson is an upcoming American medical drama that is scheduled to premiere in the 2024–25 season on CBS.

Development[edit]
On October 3, 2022, it was announced that writer Craig Sweeny was to develop a television series based on Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional character Sherlock Holmes.[1] CBS Studios will partner with Aaron Kaplan to develop the concept.[1] Watson was given a series order on January 3, 2024.[2]
Sweeny, who worked on the earlier CBS Sherlock Holmes program Elementary, wrote the pilot.[3]
Casting[edit]
On January 3, 2024, Morris Chestnut was cast as Dr. John Watson in the lead role.[2]
Release[edit]
Watson is scheduled to premiere in the 2024–25 season on CBS.[4]
