Touch New Zealand [1](TNZ) is the governing body of touch rugby in New Zealand.
It is a member of the Federation of International Touch (FIT)[2], the sport's international governing body.
With over 100,000 registered module players, it is one of the most popular summer sports played in New Zealand[3]
National Teams
[edit]New Zealand's National Teams are known around the world as The Touch Blacks[4]. The below teams will be competing in the 2024 World Cup[5] held in Nottingham

[edit]Touch in New Zealand is made up from the19 provinces spread across the country
Te Tai Tokerau, Auckland, North Harbour, Counties Manukau, Thames Valley, Waikato, King Country, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Tairawhiti, Manawatu, Whanganui, Taranaki, Horowhenua-Kapiti, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Otago and Southland
In 2023, over 3500 players representing their respective regions competed at the Touch Nationals held in Palmerston North and Rotorua.
National Championships
[edit]Each Year, Touch New Zealand hold 4 major National Events - Opens Nationals, Youth Nationals, NZ Secondary School Nationals and Masters Nationals
In 2024, 4 National Events were held. NZSS Touch Nationals in Rotorua, Youth Touch Nationals in Papakura, Open Touch Nationals in Rotorua and Masters Touch Nationals in Palmerston North
