Draft:Saki Sanobashi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Saki Sanobashi (さき さのばし?) also known as Go For A Punch is a supposedly lost anime first seen in 2015 on the forum 4chan.

Origin

[edit]

The first appearance of this anime dates back to 2015 when a user of the 4chan board x reported having seen an anime on the dark net. The anime is described this way:

It was a weird anime with naked girls in a big bathroom with no doors, having a philosophical debate about never leaving the room. After losing hope and starving for days, things start to take a turn for the worse. They start screaming and yelling. Then they all commit suicide, either by smashing their heads against the wall or clawing their necks until they bleed. One of the girls was helping another drown because she couldn't do it herself[note 1].

Research

[edit]

On several occasions, netizens have reported finding anime that was the one they were looking for.

The first is Gakuen Nanafushigi [], where a young high school girl witnesses paranormal phenomena[4].

The second is Hontou ni Atta Gakkou Kaidan [], where three elementary school students investigate supernatural events occurring at their school[4].

A manga by Shintaro Kago that has similarities to the post description by the name of Brain Damage was found[5].

A fourth anime called Gakkou no Yurei features scenes reminiscent of the description made by the 4chan user[4].

Additionally, netizens have created fake screenshots inspired by anime such as the OVA Amon: The Apocalypse of Devilman 2000[4].

Confessions

[edit]

Finally, in 2019, an anonymous user on Reddit claimed to be the person who wrote the first post on 4chan and that he had lied.[6]. Despite this, many people believe that the anime really exists.[7].
