Richard M. T. Nilsson (born 28 December 1982) is a Swedish tech entrepreneur and business leader. He was the co-founder and Managing Director of Lifestyle Asia and the CEO & Head of Digital Media for Burda International Asia.[1][2][3][4]
Since 2020 Nilsson is the CEO and Founder of MyPetGo, Pet Tech venture that combines wearable technology, artificial intelligence with an ecosystem of pet care products and services.[5][6][7]
Early Life & Education
[edit]Nilsson was born in Stockholm, Sweden and obtained his high school diploma from Östra Real Senior High School between 1999 and 2002. In 2004 he earned his MBA degree with a specialization in Entrepreneurship/ Entrepreneurial Studies at Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship . In 2020, Richard enrolled in a program focused on Innovation in the Age of Disruption at INSEAD. Most recently, in 2022, Richard attended Harvard Business School and successfully completed a program called Negotiation Mastery, earning a certification in Business Administration and Management.[1]
Career
[edit]Nilsson started his career in 2004 as a Team Leader at Salus Ansvar Bank AB (today, Folksam), focusing on cross-sales activities from .[8] 2 years later he moved to Hong Kong where he co-founded Lifestyle HK Ltd. Lifestyle Asia covers a range of luxury living, entertainment, and fashion topics. In 2008, Nilsson relocated to Singapore to introduce the Lifestyle Asia brand to the affluent city-state. From 2008 to 2016, Nilsson served as the Managing Director of Lifestyle Asia.[1][9][3][10][8][11]
In 2017 post-acquisition of Lifestyle Asia, Nilsson became the Regional Managing Director and Head of Digital & Technology at Burda International Asia and a Partner at RPN Capital Investment Ltd. [1][5][2][12] Three years later, Nilsson became the founding CEO of Rhino Ventures Group. Rhino Ventures Group’s first venture is MyPetGo, “health and longevity” monitor designed to address the gaps in preventive pet healthcare. It has Health Tracking and AI-Powered Insights and operates in 150 countries.[13][14]
