Dr / Associate Professor Ngiam Kee Yuan[edit]

Dr Ngiam Kee Yuan is Senior Consultant Thyroid and Endocrine Surgeon[1] and concurrently Group Chief Technology Officer at National University Health System, Singapore. He is also Associate Professor and Head of the Division of Biomedical Informatics, NUS School of Medicine.
Dr Ngiam received his medical degree from the Royal Free and University College Medical School, University College London in 2003 where he graduated with multiple distinctions and awards. He received his specialist certifications from the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Edinburgh and is accredited as a surgical specialist by the Specialist Accreditation Board, MOH Singapore in 2012[2].
Associate Professor Ngiam is also passionate about educating future digital leaders. He is the founding Head of Division of Biomedical Informatics at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
His professional interests focus on innovations in surgery and artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. He has founded numerous platforms and programs, including the DISCOVERY AI[3], ENDEAVOUR AI[4] and the NUHS Holomedicine[5] program. He is a recipient of multiple grants including the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) clinician Innovator development (CIDA) grant, and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) 5G grants. He is also the holder of multiple patents in surgical innovations and AI technology.[6]
