  • Comment: Resubmitted without any improvement. From that, and the number of previous declines, I can only conclude that better sources are not available and that the subject is therefore not notable enough to warrant inclusion in the encyclopaedia. To avoid further reviewer effort being expended on this draft, I am now rejecting rather than merely declining this. DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:40, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: See WP:BLP. Statements, starting with the date of birth, need to be sourced or removed. The entire early life section, for example, is unsourced. Greenman (talk) 10:28, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: Churnalism and publicity material do not establish notability per WP:GNG. DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:20, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: Out of process re-draftification, but submitters and acccepters were socks (cc @Spicy:), so restoring the status quo ante. Any established editor is welcome to take action as they see fit if the subject now meets WP:BIO and the sourcing is acceptable Star Mississippi 01:57, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: Probably meet the WP:GNG but as a politician it doesnot pass the politician criteria. Fade258 (talk) 10:54, 26 January 2024 (UTC)

Early life and political career

[edit]

Neeru Yadav is from a family of teachers from Haryana. She graduated in Mathematics and pursuing her post-graduation in Geography.[8] She married Ashok, an engineer in Jhunjhunu, and was inspired to run for election by his grandfather who had earlier stood for the sarpanch election.[1] In October 2020, she was elected as sarpanch of Lambi Ahir village, Buhana tehsil.[2][1][9][10]

Yadav helped train 10 girls of her village under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), and got them employed in multinational companies.[2][11]

She established an FPO (Farmer Producers Organisation), Sachhi Saheli Mahila Agro Producer Company Limited with the help of SIIRD (The Society of Indian Institute of Rural Development) in association with NABARD.[12] This FPO is the 15th launched by NABARD. The company has 300 members, and Yadav is the head of the Board of Directors of the company. The FPO sold 80,000 kg of mustard and generated revenue of ₹50 lakh.[5][13][14]

She is the women’s convener of the Bharatiya Janata Party's Jan Aakrosh Yatra activity for the Surajgarh Assembly constituency.[2]

She was felicitated by the state government's Education Department for developing the government school building and other infrastructure in her village.[2][8][15]

In 2023, she was invited as a chief guest at Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune.[16] She has also reached the hot seat of the Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) of the 15th season as the chief guest.[17][18]

Hockey

[edit]

Yadav got the Hockey Wali Sarpanch moniker through her activities in the area of hockey in her village. She organized a batch of girls and facilitated in their training and participation in the first edition of the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games. The Lambi Ahir team won the block level and played at the district level. She had the team train at the grounds of Singhania University at a nearby village earlier and helped develop a playground in her village later.[2][1][19]
