MOTOR SKILLS DEVELOPED THROUGH MOVEMENT DEVELOPMENT GAMES.
A child's play is critical to whole child development. Play is an important contributor to a child's life from childhood, through adolescence and adulthood(Fleer, 2015; Nonis, 2005). Here are two movement development games with motor skills developed through each game:
1.Five Stones (Batu Serembat) - In this game when it's played individually a player has to throw and catch the 'stones' up in the ear within five continuous tries, whereas when they are playing as a group players play against each other to throw and catch 'stones' with each other within five alternate tries. Therefore, motor skills developed through this game are throwing and catching.
2.Zero Point (Ye-Ye) - In this game when it's played individually a player has to complete four-step jump sequence with various level of difficulty, whereas when it's played as a group players play against each other to complete four-step jump sequence with various level of difficulty simultaneously. Therefore, in this game we have jumping as the motor skill developed through the game.
