Mabel Homer Cummings (March 28, 1872[1] – August 24, 1962[2]) was an author, primarily known for her children's book Asgaurd Stories.

Early life and education[edit]

Cummings was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Charles H. and Harriet Elizabeth (Whiting) Cummings. She was raised in the town of Brookline.

Personal life[edit]

Cummings lived with her sister Emma G Cummings, a horticulturalist and ornithologist who died in October 1940 while both of them were living in Westfield, Massachusetts.
