This is a list of state roads and turnpikes ordered and constructed in the state of Ohio, from statehood to the early 20th century. Most of the remaining roads on this list are presently major thoroughfares in their respective areas.

Upper Sandusky-Shanesville State Road[edit]
The Upper Sandusky-Shanesville State Road is a state road extending from Upper Sandusky, in Wyandot County, to Rockford (formerly known as Shanesville), in Mercer County.
History[edit]
In 1835, a state road was ordered to be constructed from Upper Sandusky, through Williamstown and Lima, to Shanesville, to intersect the state road from St. Marys towards Fort Wayne.
Wapakoneta-Kalida State Road[edit]
The Wapakoneta-Kalida State Road is a state road extending from Wapakoneta, in Auglaize County, to Kalida, in Putnam County.

In 1836, a state road was ordered to be constructed from Wapakoneta to Kalida.
Wilmington-Dayton State Road[edit]
The Wilmington-Dayton State Road is a state road extending from Wilmington, in Clinton County, to Dayton, in Montgomery County.

In 1836, a state road was ordered to be constructed from Wilmington, through New Burlington and Bellbrook, to Dayton.
Worthington–Galena State Road[edit]
The Worthington-Galena State Road is a state road extending from Worthington, in Franklin County, to Galena, in Delaware County.

The Athens-Newark State Road extends from Athens, in Athens County, to Newark, in Licking County.[1]
Bucyrus-Fort Wayne State Road[edit]
The Bucyrus-Fort Wayne State Road extends from Bucyrus, in Crawford County, to the Indiana state line in a direction towards Fort Wayne, Indiana.[2]
Chillicothe-London State Road[edit]
The Chillicothe-London State Road extends from Chillicothe, in Ross County, to London, in Madison County.[3]
Circleville-Columbus State Road[edit]
The Circleville-Columbus State Road extends from Circleville, in Pickaway County, to Columbus, in Franklin County.[4]
Circleville-Washington State Road[edit]
The Circleville-Washington State Road extends from Circleville, in Pickaway County, to Washington Court House, in Fayette County.[1]
Cleveland-Akron State Road[edit]
The Cleveland-Akron State Road extends from Cleveland, in Cuyahoga County, to Akron, in Summit County.[5]
Coshocton-Mount Vernon State Road[edit]
The Coshocton-Mount Vernon State Road extends from Coshocton, in Coshocton County, to Mount Vernon, in Knox County.[6]
In 1848, the segment of the road between the mouth of the Mohican River and the first narrows of Owl Creek was ordered vacated.[7]
Dayton-Cincinnati State Road[edit]
The Dayton-Cincinnati State Road extends from Dayton, in Montgomery County, via Franklin, in Warren County, to Cincinnati, in Montgomery County.[8]
Duck Creek Saltworks-Uhrichsville State Road[edit]
The Duck Creek Saltworks-Uhrichsville State Road extends from the Duck Creek Saltworks (also known as McKees Salt Works; today part of southeastern Caldwell), in Noble County, via Senecaville, Ohio (then known as the Seneca Saltworks), in Guernsey County, and Birmingham (then known as Milner's Mill; later, as Milnersville), in Guernsey County, to Uhrichsville (then known as Urick's Mill), in Tuscarawas County.[1][9]

The Findlay-Lower Sandusky State Road extends from Findlay, in Hancock County, to Fremont (then called Lower Sandusky), in Sandusky County.[2]
Findlay-New Haven State Road[edit]
The Findlay-New Haven State Road extends from Findlay, in Hancock County, to New Haven, in Huron County.[10]
Haverhill-Jackson State Road[edit]
The Haverhill-Jackson State Road extends from Haverhill, in Scioto County, to Jackson, in Jackson County.[2]
In 1850, the road was ordered moved to pass by Empire Furnace.[11]
Jackson-Gallipolis State Road[edit]
The Jackson-Gallipolis State Road extends from Jackson, in Jackson County, to Gallipolis, in Gallia County.[12]
Marion-Findlay State Road[edit]
The Marion-Findlay State Road extends from Marion, in Marion County, to Findlay, in Hancock County.[10]
Martinsburg-Utica State Road[edit]
The Martinsburg-Utica State Road extends from Martinsburg, in Knox County, to Utica, in Licking County.[13]
Millersburg-Bethlehem State Road[edit]
The Millersburg-Bethlehem State Road extends from Millersburg, in Holmes County, to Navarre (then called Bethlehem), in Stark County.[1]

The Moravian State Road extends from Cadiz, in Harrison County, to Uhrichsville, in Tuscarawas County.[14]
