Hilary Damissah, born January 13, 1978[1] is a Nigerian journalist[2][3], Chief Operating Officer cum Editor of DigiVation Network[4][5], a public affairs analyst[6] who was a member of the Senate committee Expert and Media Advisory Group on ICT and Cyber Security (headed by Senator Foster Ogola, under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari )[7] . The Nigeria Internet Group (N.I.G) in 2018 elected him Publicity Secretary of the organization [8] [9]. He is an Executive Director Centre for Cyber Awareness and Development (CECAD)[10]. He is also Director, Information and Strategy, National Youth Peace Summit[11]. He editorials Cyber Africa News Magazine[12].
Early life and Education
[edit]Hilary Damissah hails from Afowah, Etsako[7] West Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria. Hilary attended Usogun Primary School and Afowah Mixed Secondary School[1], and graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language in the year 2000[1]. He has Masters of Public Administration (MPA) in 2007 from Obafemi Awolowo University[1].
Hilary possess the Sales and Business Management Certificate of the Enterprise Development Centre, Pan Atlantic University, Lagos[1], Diploma in Public Relations of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, Lagos[1], and is a Fellow of the Institute of Information Management (IIM, Africa)[1].
Hilary Damissah is married with three children[1].
Career
[edit]Hilary Damissah worked as a Library Assistant[1] during his undergraduate days, served as Editor-in-Chief of The Megaphone News Agency , Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife Osun State Nigeria and was co-founder of the Students’ Sports Writers and Commentaries Association of Nigeria[1]. He freelanced as a journalist[1], editor, and media consultant[1].
He is currently the Chief Operating Officer and Editor at DigiVation Network[1] .
