Gilda Manolescu (15 July 1974 – 2009) was a Romanian film actress.

Biography[edit]

Gilda Manolescu was a child actress. She became well known and recognized after playing the lead role of Maria in the Romanian-Soviet fantasy film Maria, Mirabela (1981), directed by Ion Popescu-Gopo in collaboration with Natalia Bodiul.

After the premiere of the film she went to Germany with her mother and settled there.

She died in 2009 of kidney failure.[1]
