George Oliver Scott (born August 1988) is a British racehorse trainer based in Newmarket, Suffolk. He has trained over 300 winning racehorses worldwide, including winners of The Royal Ascot Hardwicke Stakes,[1] The Deutsches St. Leger,[2] The Champagne Stakes, and The Bahrain Triple Crown.[3]
Early Career
[edit]He was educated at Harrow School, and upon graduating began as a pupil assistant with Paul Nicholls, Mark Tompkins, and Michael Bell. Later on, he became the assistant trainer to Lady Cecil at Warren Place.[4]
Bahrain Triple Crown
[edit]On March 8th 2024, George Scott became the first trainer in history to complete The Bahrain Triple Crown with stable star Isle of Jura. The gelding won the Listed Prince Salman Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Cup before securing the Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup – a local Grade One. He then concluded his Bahrain campaign winning the King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Cup.[1]
