The Cavite–Batangas Expressway (CBEX) is a proposed 27.06-kilometer (16.81 mi) controlled-access toll road in Calabarzon, Philippines. It will connect the Cavite–Laguna Expressway (CALAX) in Silang, Cavite, to the Nasugbu–Bauan Expressway (NBEX) in Nasugbu, Batangas. The proposal overlaps with the earlier Cavite–Tagaytay–Batangas Expressway (CTBEX) proposal by Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation, a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Investments.[2][3]

An expressway connecting the provinces of Cavite and Batangas was first proposed in 2016 as part of Metro Pacific Tollways' plan to spur economic growth in the western part of southern Luzon.[4] The project went under evaluation until the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) awarded the original proponent status to Metro Pacific Tollways South Corporation (MPT South) in July 2018.[5][6][7] Metro Pacific expected the Swiss challenge for this project by the end of 2021 or early 2022.[4] It was proposed to have eight major interchanges, spur roads to Tagaytay and Tuy, and a couple of overpasses.[8][9][10]
