Caiden Cowger is the President of the Family Policy Council of West Virginia (FPCWV), a prominent organization advocating for conservative and family-based values in the state. Cowger has been a significant figure in conservative media and politics from a young age, earning recognition in 2015, as "America's 'Youngest' Syndicated talk Personality in Talker's Magazine.[1]

Cowger gained national attention as a teenager when he began hosting "The Caiden Cowger Program," a conservative talk radio show.[2] His articulate and passionate commentary on political issues quickly garnered a large audience, leading to his syndication across various radio stations. Family Policy Council of West Virginia

In 2021, Caiden Cowger was chosen as the new President of the Family Policy Council of West Virginia taking over for previous president Allen Whitt.[4] President Cowger leads efforts to influence legislation and advocate for policies that align with conservative values. The organization focuses on issues such as protecting unborn life, expanding school choice, and supporting faith-based education​[5] Under Cowger's leadership, the FPCWV has been active in lobbying state lawmakers and engaging in public campaigns to promote its agenda.

Background in Journalism

In addition to his work with the Family Policy Council, Caiden Cowger serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Mountaineer Journal, a news publication based in West Virginia.[6] The Mountaineer Journal aims to support and amplify the voices if independent journalists across West Virginia. The publication covers a diverse array of topics, including local, state, and national politics.[7]

Controversies and Criticisms

Cowger's career has not been without controversy. He has faced criticism for his aggressive lobbying tactics, and reports have claimed that he is a homophobic and bigoted political lobbyist, and he has an influence over public opinion and political outcomes​​.[8] Despite these controversies, Cowger remains a prominent and influential figure in West Virginia politics.[9]
