She is a Collaborative Leadership Scientist who teaches high performance leaders and their teams specific collaboration skills to achieve their goals faster and more effectively. Career
[edit]Dr. Thompson's 30-year Corporate HR executive career started in Silicon Valley where she was recruited to launch the startup HR function at the world's first biotech company, Genentech. In the financial services industry, she lead the transformation of 10,000 job classifications and creation of a Job Market Analyzer for the world's largest bank (Bank of America) Dr. Thompson managed the team that developed the world's first corporate HR intranet self-service platform, called Eureka at Levi Strauss. She has lead collaborative skill-building workshops at a variety of companies, from publishers to manufacturers and even the Global Treasury Departments of The World Bank. Dr. Thompson was awarded Business Leader of the Year at the Harvard Club in NYC by Global Connections for Women (GC4W), and has been ranked in the Top 5 of the Global 30 Gurus in Education for the past three years, and Top 3 in 2023. Her New York Times bestselling book, ADMIRED, identifies the traits leaders must develop to be most valued, respected and admired based on her national study of most engaged workers in the Fortune 500. Dr. Thompson served as research director for Success Built to Last: Creating a Life That Matters (Wharton|Pearson Education 2007) where she lead Harvard and Wharton researchers in a global study that revealed a new purpose-driven definition of "lasting success" by executives--from Bill Gates to Nelson Mandela--who lead their fields for a minimum of two decades.
Education Programs
[edit]Dr. Thompson's 'StoryBook Math' education programs received Certificates of Special U.S. Congressional Recognition. She holds a doctorate in Education from the University of Pennsylvania's Chief Learning Officer program, the world's top 3 Graduate School of Education. During her MBA, she studied under Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen at the University of California, Haas School of Business. She holds a B.A. in organizational psychology from San Jose State University in Silicon Valley. Bonita served on the Board of Directors of the Frances Hesselbein's Leader to Leader Institute.
