The 2024–25 ASEAN Club Championship (or simply 2024–25 ACC, officially 2024–25 Shopee Cup[1] due to sponsorship reasons) will be the third edition of the ASEAN Club Championship, an international football competition between domestic champion club sides affiliated with the member associations of the ASEAN Football Federation.[2][3] It will be the first ACC to commence since 2005.[4]
The revival of the ASEAN Club Championship was first proposed to the Asian Football Confederation in 2019.[5] But efforts to organized the tournament was hampered by the COVID-19 pandemic;[6] with the recent unsucessful attempt being for 2023–24.[7]
The tournament was launched on April 4, 2024 with games projected to be played from 17 July 2024 to 21 May 2025.[8]
The previous tournament was officially cancelled due to the overlapping competition schedules (2026 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC second round and 2023 AFC Asian Cup).[9]
Association team allocation[edit]
Clubs from all 12 member football associations of the ASEAN Football Federation are eligible to enter the competition. Australia and Timor Leste did not enter any club.[8]

- ^ Malaysia (MYS): Johor Darul Ta'zim, the 2023 Malaysia Super League champions qualified but declined to participate.[8]
- ^ Singapore (SGP): Albirex Niigata (S), the 2023 Singapore Premier League champions, are a team from Japan and thus ineligible to represent Singapore in the ACC. As a result, Lion City Sailors, the 2023 Singapore Cup winners, qualified instead.[8]
Foreign players[edit]
A maximum of four foreigners are allowed per club which follows the Asian Football Confederation's (AFC) 3+1 rule; three players of any nationality and a fourth coming from an AFC member nation. A player coming from an AFF member nation will not be considered as a foreign player. This will be confirmed once the draw is confirmed.[citation needed]
Qualifying play-offs[edit]
Four clubs from four member associations will compete for two of the twelve berths in the competition proper.[8]
Group stage[edit]
The twelve qualified clubs for the competition proper will be drawn into two groups. The group stage will follow a single round-robin format with team playing home-and-away matches. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semifinals.[8]
