The 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade (Ukrainian: 100-та окрема механізована бригада) is a brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces formed in 2018.[1]

History[edit]

The brigade was formed on 27 June 2018 as the 100th territorial defense brigade in Volyn Oblast.[2]

Russo-Ukrainian War[edit]

In July 2022 Brigade was building fortifications on the northern border with Belarus.[3] On 28 July 2023, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy awarded "For Courage and Bravery" to the Brigade. It was the first unit of the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine to receive the award.[4] On 30 March 2024, the brigade was reformed, and 100th Mechanized Brigade was formed on its basis.[5]
